BBC iPlayer

Has anyone got this going?  I have just purchased the KDL32EX503U and the iPlayer option is listed but does not work and says I need an upgrade and ensure this the TV set to update. I have checked that it is but no iPlayer to date.

Update on BBC iPlayer.

Left ethernet cable plugged into back of TV overnight.  Tried again the following afternoon - hey presto, iPlayer in full working order...as if by magic.  Still working when I checked today.

I have just bought a KDL-32EX703 .

Internet ready - great ! , except to use it wirelessly you have to have a £70 SONY USB wireless

So , planning to get a cheap wireless router that will act as a WDS bridge off Ebay to resolve this , but in the meantime connected by wire to check it out.

BBC IPlayer - 'you need a software update' for this and should set 'automatic update' to 'on' , which is there , and anyway the software is up to date but it won't play the IPlayer.

So , not terribly impressed...

works a treat and less than half the price of the Sony offering.

It is small and neat.

I had to update the firmware manually from USB memory stick to get Iplayer to work, Just download new firmware from this site. Then select the "update internet content" option on the setup menu.

Hi If you TV has the latest advised firmware I would recommend a factory reset, it may have not loaded completely and is causing this issue.if you still have issues after a full reset i would advise you call customer service0844 8466 555 where they can do further fault finding

I have upgraded the firmeware to the latest version. And is working now.

I have KDL-37W5810 and had main phone line moved next to TV today. Plugged in cable ... got nowt. Thats right ... absoultely jack.

Lets hope it gets sorted soon
