'Mobile data access' doens't work??

I turn my 'data access via mobile network' on, but nothing happens and I get NO internet connection.

There is no problem with my provider, and my wifi at home still works.

I 've had this problem yesterday and now after downloading the new version of android, the problem is still here.

Anybody ideas??

go to settings -> sony ericsson/Xperia -> internet settings

this might be a dumb question, but do you have a data plan?

try to enter them manually

google: apn settings android __name of your network__

settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> access point names -> MENU -> add New

Name: AT&T

APN: wap.cingular

Proxy: leave blank

Port: leave blank

Username:[email protected]

Password:CINGULAR1

Server: leave blank

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com

MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com

MMS Port: 80

MCC:310

MNC:410

APN Type: leave blank

MENU -> Save

yes i have, 2G a month.
i checked, it's still valid and enough

it could be a network issue or the apn settings, try my suggestions above to enter the apn settings manually

i did what you said and then saved it,
but it just disapears and i can't check it anywhere.

is it possible that it's a hardware problem?

i checked the APN list of my country and found the problem.

it was like uliwooly said, but with other enteries
