keyboard settings..please help

for some reason the keyboard on my phone has changed to a japanese setting, depsite me not changing it. I want to change it back but cannot find anywhere to do it. I have reset the settings but it is still the same, does anyone have any idea how to amend this please, it would be much appreciated.
