Phone disconnects from PC and comes back when I press keys!
Is there a setting that I can the screen to stay on? thus not disconnect?

Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, first you make sure that the USB mode in your phone is set to PC/Phone mode, then connect to the PC and then open PC suite and wait for a few seconds until it finds the phone.
For PC suite you need to connect in USB PC/Phone mode.If this doesn't work, check the security of the USB connections, especially at the phone end.Otherwise, run the SE update service on your phone to update or re-install the software via PC.
Hi,
thanks for the answer.
So as I understand it
You go to the screen that says USB mode,
then start Sony PC Suite
then connect phone?

Hi,
got it working.... yeah!
I did a LOT of editing of my messages and calender, phone book! Sooo easy!!!
I get to my photos and videos but I get an error and when I look at with file manager the files
dont show up at all!
jpg and mp4's
The files on windows file manager come up with a 'red' stop sign type symbol?
I want to transfer the file off the phone via usb.... help ?
thanks
Peter
ps I tried it Media Go, but, pardon me!?, No Go!
Sorry,
It also asks if Id like to update the software...
I say yes,
its backs up...
Prepares for update,
dowloads software...
says 'preparing phone....
switches phone off.... then..... nothing?
You can try phone repair via PC suite--this option is under the Help tab of the PC suite page, and this process will attempt to sort out any software problems and re-install the software.Again, everything needs to be backed up beforehand.
Hi,
I am a little reluctant to do the suggestion as it says it should only be done as a last resort.....
Peter
Well you can try a master reset first and failing that, the phone repair.
