M2 sound issues

I have been using my Sony Experie M2 to play music through but have noticed recently that when I put the phone in my pocket the music stops after a minute or so and if I remove the phone to reactivate it, the music starts again. 

The same happens on different music apps which seems to me that it might be a phone settings issue.  It is probably something quite simple that I need to do but I cant seem to work out what I am doing wrong.  

Any advice is appreciated

Do you have Stamina mode enabled?

Thanks for your reply. I thought it might have been one of the powersave options and put them all off including stamina but it hasn't made any difference.

I've tested my sons M2 but it all works fine, I'm inclined to think that performing a system repair may fix it as a bad upgrade could be the culprit but I can't be 100% sure
