unable to save conacts to the phone

i am unable to save any new contacts to the phone under local contacts.

i type in the name , phone number, and picture of the contact i want to save and then when i tap on done, it says contact has been saved. but the contact doesn't appear anywhere.

i don't know when this problem started.

please help.

I suggest that you check the filter settings. Go to Contacts > Menu button > Filter > Mark/unmark unrelated needs for example Online contacts. Also check "Local contacts" so everything is marked.
