STR-DN1070, firmware M35.R.2135 and new "Chromecast built-in" should allow playback from Standby

Hi,

With https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/audio-components-receivers-amplifiers/str-dn1070/download... I should be allowed to wake-up amplituner by just selecting it from Chromecast enabled app e.g. Tuner-In - unfortunnetly it does not work. My phone, iPhone SE with latest iOS, is connected to same network (phone by wireless and amplituner via wire) and using Sony's "Video & TV SideView" I can wake it up but not with "Chromecast" as advertised in firmware description.

Does any one know what I should check/change to make it work?

Hi @MarekSuski77,

I think this is happening because the receiver isn’t connected via WiFi. To my knowledge, Chromecast works only via WiFi connection.

I have switched to wireless and still cannot wake-up the amplituner from my smartphone. Thx for the hint.

Hi, If you live in EU you will experience this problem because Sony choose to deactivate this feature... 

"Perform the settings to use Chromecast built-in on the receiver by following the on-screen instructions. 
Once the settings are configured, [Network Standby] is set to [On] automatically, and you can quickly start up the receiver from standby mode to play music (for USA, Canadian and Asia-Pacific models only)."

To solve this problem should I use firmware for US or maybe select different region in amplituner?
