Hi,
I have an HTAS5 system connected to a Sony TV (KDL40W2000), PS3 and Sky+ box. The TV is connected via component and the PS3 and Sky box are connected via HDMI. The HTAS5 unit is approximately 18 months old. Until recently all has worked well until last week there was a loud 'crackle' and the sound completely went dead. I switched the unit off and on again (soft and hard reset) to no avail. I scrolled through all sources, still no sound. I then waited approximately 10 - 15 minutes and the crackle sound came back and the sound was then restored.
This has happened on three occasions now and seems to be an intermittent issue. I am conscious however that the system may be on it's way out. I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences with this unit or if anyone has an idea of how this can be rectified? (or a diagnosis would be really helpful)
