As titled:
Just picked up a new XT100 Sony soundbase to pair up with my Sony Bravia KD-43X8309C but getting constant connection issues.
The audio always works. It sometimes TV speaker and sometimes sound base sometimes both giving a weird delaying sound a millisecond apart.
I have the connection of HDMI straight from soundbase to TV Arc input to allow the TV and Sky remotes to work.
Sometimes I switch on and all works fine. Sometimes a message appears advising "TV speakers active due to audio system communication failure".
When I go to Sync menu on TV remote and choose Control audio system the home theatre control give a list of compatible audio systems but the HT-XT100 is. It listed.
Any help appreciated or should I just return it to retailer?
Hi there
Quite often the issue your experiencing can be resolved by changing HDMI cables. Suggest trying another one, even if the HDMI cable is new.

Tried different cables n all sorts. Ended up returning it. Quite disappointing.
