Question re Blue-Ray disc player BDP-S5200

Please excuse as this is my first post + i am no expert !

My objective is to play live sports streams from my iphone onto my non blue tooth TV via the S5200 which is also of course not blue tooth.

My plan is to use my existing Amazon Bluetooth Recievet:

I was planning to purchase this MDBI to VGA converter to connect via the player:

Please excuse my ignorance but is my objective achievable ? If so would my plan be the best way to achieve this ?

Hi there

I think you would be better off with a device called AppleTV to screen mirror your iPhone to your TV via the AppleTV device.
