Is there a way to still have the sub function enabled in "Direct or Pure Direct" mode?

I have a str-dn1080 av amp and one thing I have noticed is there is slight audio delay on all sound fields apart from "Direct and Pure Direct", the problem is I lose the use of the sub when these are selected. is there a way of enabling it? Or is there anyway of speeding up the other sound fields? Thanks.

Thank you I really appreciate your efforts. I do love the pure direct idea, especially when listening to vinyl. As my speakers are small two-way speakers it would be great to have the sub as a option, just to have abit more of a kick.

Could you let us know what do you mean by a slight delay? Does it happen when playing audio and video from connected devices so the sound is lagging behind the picture?
