iPlayer not working again BDV-EF200

Having endured the recent absence of iPlayer I thought these issues were a thing of the past. However, yesterday I tried iPlayer on my BDV-EF200 and all that happens is that the 'Home' display disappears and nothing happens; all that I get is the 'wallpaper' image in the background. There's no spinning icon, no BBC iPlayer logo; it just hangs and freezes the whole player. If I press Home on the remote, for example, nothing happens. I have to switch the player off. I should add that Five on Demand works fine, and iPlayer works on my Bravia TV. I've also checked and there are no updates to collect.

I would suggest trying a factory reset on the bluray player to be honest.  It may clear any issues.  See page 50 of the manual : HERE
