HT-CT290 audio system active but no sound

For a few months now i have had a HT-CT290 sound bar connected to my kdl-60w600b TV and everything has been working fine. In the last few days i have been having problems with the soundbar either not powering ON/OFF with the tv or not giving audio. when the sound bar does power on with the tv i get the message " audio system active" but after 30 seconds or so it reverts back to tv speakers because there is no sound. The only thing that seems to work is to power of at wall for a minute then it works fine until it has been turned off and on again.

I have tried a different HDMI cable, turning of at the wall disconnecting cables, power back on and reconnect cables and even factory reset TV with no luck. Any help please?

Hi DOODuk,

the first thing I would have suggested would have been to try another cable - since you have already done this and since it still works from time to time, either the connector on your TV or audio system is faulty, or the issue is burried somewhere inside the software.
