How can I increase or decrease the volume with the remote control - Blue-ray player model UBP-X800M2

Hello.

I just bought the Sony Blue-ray player UBP-X800M2 and have a question.

When I play music or watch DVD / Blu-ray it is not possible to increase or decrease the volume with the remote control - I must use the remote control for TV which is cumbersome.

Unfortunately, I cannot figure this out using the user manual, so therefore this inquiry.

What is it that I have not understood?

How can I increase or decrease the volume with the remote control?

The player does not have any speaker, so the command on the remote is intended to do what you are actually doing manually with the TV remote. In order to make it work, you have to look at the player user manual and configure the player remote for  the TV brand you want to command.

Hey, the remote is supposed to control the volume on the TV connected to the player, which model do you have?
