dvd recorder command mode reset

Hi everyone I have a dvd recorder rdr-gx120 with remote d232p my daughter has been flicking through the menu and has managed to change the command mode from dvd3 defauilt to dvd1 as a result the remote will not work with the dvd recorder how do you reset this back to default dvd3 when you cannot access menu through the remote control please help
