disappearing channels and timer problems with RDR-HXD995

hi can anyone help me my hdd dvd recorder has started acting up it seems like the problems of about a year ago for which there was a firmweare update to 1.24  it scans new channels but when switched off and back on again the new channels are not there ,single timer recordings disappear  only weekly or series  stay and record.my firmware is 1.24.every time i switch on it says new channels have been found and stored but none have been this all started  about 2 weeks ago  if anone can help  i would be grateful

In order to make the "new" firmware working you have to reset the recorder. While on press the STOP button on the recorder (not on the remote) and the on/off button together. Unplug also the power cord for 1 minute.

You will loose all the setting and timer (not the data on the HDD) and you'll have to go through the whole initial setup. In this way all the channel scanned will remain. Unfortunately you will have to do the same procedure anytime you want to make a full scan of the channels.
