Update the Google Cast version

I Have STR-DN1060 with version M29.R.0467 , but the google cast shows version 1.12.XXXX

I saw on a different post that the google cast version needs to be 1.15.41128

How do I upgrade the google cast only?

I checked but couldn't find anything related to updating the Google cast version on its own, so I think it's linked to the software updates.

Perhaps if you give us more context about this, such as any issues you're facing that got you to look into updating Google cast, so that the community can help.

The issue I have is the google cast stops after about 2 hours and can't be connected any more.

The next is to shut the equipment for at least 30 minutes and try again to connect.

I have an android and  iPhone,  it happens with both,  so I assume it is not the phone.

You're right in concluding that this isn't the phone. Have you tried resetting the amplifier to factory settings?

Yes, in the past 6 months I reset the Amp twice to factory default.

I tried to run the software upgrade, but I'm at the latest version (just not google cast)

I have it wired at current time, and replaced the network switch - did not change, I had it in wireless mode before.

I get the same results in all cases.

My home network is 1GB but supports 10MB and 100MB, my router is Nighthawk and the switch is Netgear.

The cable are Cat 5E

I have a similar issue and would like to update the software. It looks like the same issue to this:

but here Sony have provided an update which allows this to happen. Any chance of a similar solution?
