Sony PS-LX310BT no sound on phono output

I just got this turntable and immediately ran into an issue of there being no sound on the phono output. With full gain on line and my speaker system turned to full there is a faint sound, so it's like the pre-amp isn't working/connected? I would appreciate some help.

If you're using "phono" output ... it's bypassing internal pre amp and ur receiver should have a dedicated Phono input....

If you wanna use the turntable pre amp you need to select "line out"

What are your current settings because your set up is quite confusing as you speak
