Does the RDH-SK8iP work with iPod Touch 4th Gen?

Hi,

I recently read a customer review on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B003RT3GHA/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1) that suggested the RDHSK8IP iPod Dock doesn't work with iPod Touch 4th generation. Is this true?

P.S. - I am not referring to to an audio cable input, but rather full docking functionality.

Just had a quick look through this products user manual and there is no reference to 4th gen i-pod Touch compatibility.  Probably not a huge surprise as the SK8iP was launched before the new Touch.

Looks like Amazons info is correct.

Hi Lee,

My suspicion is that the 4th Gen Touch doesn't appear in the manual because the doc probably pre-dates the that particular version iPod. However, it may still work, and a further customer feedback comment points out that another customer uses it with the iPod Touch 4th Gen.

Is there any way of verifying that? It looks like a nice product for my son for Christmas and would be great if it did work.
