is there any possible way to pay for an online order by check for a new laptop? paying by check due to business purposes/VAT refund

no I don't believe you can pay by check for a new laptop, best I can suggest is that you phone the Sony Online shop using 0207 365 2413 to see what options they have available for business customers..
