How do I update the maps on my NV-U82G please?

Cant seem to find any information anywhere.

It rather looks like updates were phased out in March 2011 and these only had map data from 2009.

I have asked Sony if the map data was provided from a third-party like Navteq but the prospects don't look too good.  The nav-u Update link on the Support website for the NV-U82G appears to be no more!
