My toddler son dropped my E5 in a bucket full of water. I am not sure how long it was in there for but when I got it out it was still working. The screen is slow though now. You have to tap quiet a few times on an app to get it to work. Frustrating . Do I just toss it out or can it be fixed?

Hi @Zendaya, very sorry to hear about what has happened to your device.
I'm afraid that there is not that much troubleshooting I can offer for this as it does seem related to the device being in contact with water. I'd recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team and they will arrange a repair for you, so a trained technician at an authorized service centre can examine the device.
If you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and so forth, they will gladly assist you with this as well and will be able to provide a much more detailed answer than I can, as these vary between markets/regions!

Thanks for responding @Jonas. We stupidly let the battery completely drain now it is refusing to charge. It has been 2 days and we have tried different cables but nothing. It's completely off. When I press the power button and the volume button together it does vibrate 3 times but still doesn't turn on. Have no idea what the problem could be now because it was working just fine even after "going for a swim" a few days ago. Any advice?
Hi again!
I'm afraid that I can't really give you any suggestion apart from having the device examined at an authorized service centre, just to make sure that cause of this behaviour is not due to the device being water damaged.
As I wrote in my previous reply, your Local support team will assist you further with this, so please get in touch with them!
You're better off taking your phone to an independent store. I've found that they are generally very fast with getting water damaged phones fixed and sometimes can fix phones that even Sony technicians won't touch.
