No notification sound for messages

Hi @jonah1, sorry to hear this.

Before troubleshooting further, could you verify that the notification sound for the Messaging app isn't set to "none"? You can see this in Messaging > [menu] (the three dots) > Settings > Notification sound. If this happens to be set to "none" you can select a sound for notifications here.

If a notification sound is already set for the app I recommend that you also test your phone in safe mode to see if this could be caused by a downloaded third party app. One way to test it would be to ask someone to send you an SMS when your device is in safe mode.
