hx80 screen icons

I've just bought a dsc-hx80 camera...........having read the manual...(which is useless I have to say) can someone point me in the right direction for a guide/explanation as to what the icons mean? the Sony guide page is no help here either. many thanks

Thanks this is helpful,but not exactly easy to carry around.....I use a laptop,surely this should have been in the camera manual.......NOT impressed Sony !!!
