Sony FDR-AX43 Focus

I have recently purchased Sony FDR-AX43 and I am quite displeased with the focus settings, when shooting subjects from afar and zooming in (using remote control app on phone) instead of focusing on the subject in the middle, it will instead blur the person and focus on the background.

From what I experienced with cameras this is the opposite of how other cameras function, by default it should focus on the centre object and need adjustment to focus on the background. There's no options in "focus" besides automatic and manual. Can't use manual in remote.

Can we get a software update to fix this issue? Makes zoom utterly useless

Hi paulder, from what I understand, that can happen when using auto-focus and a remote control. As the solution is usually to adjust the focus point manually, try to steady the camera as much as you can. Also, check the below steps: 

-Disconnect the power source, attach the power source again after about 1 minute, and turn this product on.

Try the auto-focus without the remote as well, let me know how it goes.
