Hi everyone I hope its okay to make a new thread about this.
The problem is I bought the TV a month ago and while watching native TV apps like Netflix and Disney plus there was a judder present but after researching online found the fix for this was to set motion flow to custom and put smoothing to min and clearness to min and I kind of forgot what the other setting is called cinemaflow? and put this to auto.
After these changes everything was perfectly smooth and no judder at all but after about a week I noticed the judder had came back so I went to settings and found out now with having the settings both on min it produces a bad judder and the only way to get it watchable is to put motion flow on auto but the picture is still not as smooth as the min min used to be.
I reset the TV to factory settings but the custom min min settings still produce the bad judder. I also bought a Sony sound bar a few weeks ago and I thought maybe this had been the problem but after the factory reset and just using the TV speakers the same happened.
Thanks for reading hope someone can help.
Does this happen on the latest software update for you?
Yeah. I'm pretty sure the software is update date as if I check it tells me there is no update.
It's always best to check the product page for the version number, since the TV can misreport if it can't see/find the update sometimes.
That said, does this judder only happen with the apps? If so, have you tried switching between WiFi and LAN? or maybe trying a hotspot?

Would it be the firmware update from the product page? This only happens with streaming app. I use a wired connection and have tried wireless but its both the same. The weird thing is I can get Netflix judder free by using the Netflix calibration settings but Netflix used to be judder free from setting the motionflow to min min until something changed. Thanks.
Yeah, it would be a software glitch. Just make sure to have the latest software which is (v6.5042), as it might resolves the judder issue.
@newcastleladHighly unlikely the judder you're experiencing is software related.
Much more likely to be related to the content and/or your settings.
Sony are extremely unhelpful in not making a manual available online for their TVs.
So, I'll have to have a guess at the settings available to you.
When using something like a blu-ray player, UHD player or games console, you should disable all motionflow settings (including film mode) as they aren't required for high quality sources.
If you've got access to the top tier of Netflix and the likes of Disney+, I believe the same is applicable with motionflow with the exception of film mode. This has to be set to high for all of your TVs built-in apps and low on a set-top box such as Sky or VM.
On my TV I have reality creation on 10, smooth gradation on low, motionflow off and film mode on high for the TV's built-in apps, low for Sky Q and do not experience judder, not even on football.
Trial and error with any combination of the above until you're satisfied.
Good luck.
Hi, I’ve literally signed up to reply to you. I have the same tv and have judder issues but straight out of the box the tele was so bad even my wife said what’s wrong with it. On Netflix calibration mode, it looks so so bad I can’t believe it’s left the factory with that as the correct settings, so I’m interested that you’re sensitive to judder yet have had smooth Netflix mode. I’ve had it a few months and still fed up with the motion, it’s shocking!!
Hi yeah for some reason Netflix calibration mode is super smooth. Having motionflow on auto on Netflix is pretty smooth but I can still notice a judder with very slow movements. The settings everyone else uses having smoothness set to min and clearness on min is awful. Even someone who is not as sensitive to judder can still see its bad. Have you tried Netflix using the smoothness min and clearness min settings.
Aye I’m the same, so many people say put it
on custom, min, min but unless I have smoothness on max, it’s unbearable, and then I run into lots of break up with movement. We’ve been watching Ozark and on Netflix Calibrated mode, it’s a disaster, it makes me wonder if there is something wrong with mine but how could I ever know. My Mrs likes Bridgerton, I can’t watch it, on any settings Dolby vision or not, the movement is too distracting. That’s can’t be right can it.
