it restarted itself making a weired noise for like 5 secs. happened twice. has this happened to anyone with tv? was wondering what causes this and what can be done to stop it

just got another 900h does the same thing turned e-arc off def a firmware issue.. contact sony tell them it has happened after update im going to email them a 3rd time none of there fixes work
Disabling eARC from AUTO to OFF has fixed my issues so far. Daily turning it off at the wall at bedtime too, so it's not "doing god knows what" overnight.

Yes on 6.03841, my TV was freezing and restarting itself like once every 48 hours. I did a factory reset a few days ago and haven't had a freeze/restart yet.
still no more severe problems here, turning off eARC..
There is an audio sync delay often however eg Chromecasting. All a bit pants.
yeah mate running the latest firmware what i found has worked turn HDMI3 off enhanced to standed but hdmi4 seems ok to be left on enhanced ..has not switch off in 2 days

Try going to Settings - Apps and delete an app called Tune in, this has been reported to work for other users with lip sync issues

The restarts do seem somehow connected to HDMI 3 and eArc, as having moved my PS4 to HDMI 1 the restarts seem to have lessened.
Hi, I bought my KD55xh9296 about 6 weeks ago. It was fantastic for 4 weeks then foolishly I allowed it to update to the latest firmware PKG6.0384.0052EUA. Immediately after that, it started randomly rebooting.... usually about 3 times a day. I did a soft reset then a factory reset but the problem was still there. For the past 2 weeks I have been in communication with Sony support who have been getting me to try changing various settings, most recently to disable "Bravia Sync". This still didn't work. Obviously there is an issue with the firmware update but Sony are reluctant to admit this. As the TV is only 6 weeks old I am considering contacting the retailer and asking for a replacement. I was so happy with this TV before the firmware update. I also have my Marantz AV receiver connected to HDMI 3/eARC so perhaps the issue is related to this.
I have had the same issue with my XH90. Only had it a week, it has frozen and restarted in the menus, while watching Sky, Netflix and YouTube.
