tv power cycle every 5 min

For the past almost 10 years I been using a power save cabel extender which turn off my game stations and lan switch when the TV is turned off. I has always worked.
I recently bought  a Sony Bravia 65sd8505 and now I can hear the cable extender turn on/off every 5 min.
I assume  it is android  sending/receiving...but the TV is turned off Why? And how do I stop It?

Andorid TV is never switched off, it is in standby and doing some background job depending on which setting you have
