There was an update on my TV at August, and since then the TV doesn't turn on instantly, whenever I want. Only solution is that when I unplug the TV, and plug in back after a few second = have to reset the TV manually. I tried with new batteries to the remote control, trying to unplug all of the HDMI cables and USB devices, and all of the other things what I could find about this on the internet, but none of them seems working unfortunately.
My experience is that if I am not using the TV for more than couple of hours, than this issue show up, but when there is less than couple of hours between of this, the TV seems normal.
Is there any solution for this already, or this cases still seems pending? I could see that there is many other guys with the same problem, but with different kind of TV.
Thanks for your help.
Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
Have you tried performing a Factory Data Reset, which should resolve the issue. You can see more details on how to do this here.
Let me know how you get on.
Best wishes,
Sean
Hello Sean,
It seems that the factory data reset resolved the issue what I had.
Hope it will stay as it is now.
Thanks for your help.
Norbert
Hi Norbert,
I'm pleased to hear that this has resolved the issue for you. Thanks for letting me know. 😊
Best wishes,
Sean
Hello Sean,
Unfortunately I have to take it back, the factory data reset helped on the issue for a couple of days, but for now it does the same as before (doesn't turn on until I manually plug out, then in the electric cable - third time for today).
Can I request to retrieve the old update, what the TV had before the latest update? There wasn't any issue with that.
Thanks,
Norbert
I had the exact sam issue with my Sony KD49XF7596.
Sony sent the unit off for repair and replaced the main board on the unit and didn't make a blind bit of difference.
Must have spent about 8 Months arguing with Sony on this and they wouldn't swap the unit for another or anything and even the repair centre couldn't think of what it could have been.
I came to the conclusion that its a Software issue, not hardware, but Sony were adamant it was Hardware.
It doesn't do the Turn on Issue as often, but it will randomly reboot and sometimes hang after rebooting. How they can leave a piece of Software so buggy on such a high end product will always be a mystery.
Hi Vjnorbi and Jorbond ,
I believe that you can't roll back to a previous version of the software. I've read that turning the service replacement settings off may solve this. Could you try pressing on Home - Settings - Channel set up - Digital set up - Technical set up - Service replacement off? Let me know it worked for you.
Cheers,

Hi The Black Rose.
The "service replacement settings" was off all the time, because I do not use the TV areiral on this TV.
If the older update cannot be reached, can you send an update which will fix this issue please?
Hope this helps.
Norbert
This didn't make a difference.
Still has the issue of not turning on or rebooting when the TV does come on.
