Sony Bravia KD-50X75WLPU or KD-50X80LPU

I am looking and reserching  to replace my old 46" KDL- 46HX923 Sony Tv upgrade to 50" Sony TV.

Which one would be the best choice as I am unable to decide  at the moment.

Any help would be much appreciated and many thanks in advance.

“The Sony X80K is a bit better than the Sony X75K, although the differences are extremely minor. The Sony X80K has a much wider color gamut and better tone mapping, so HDR content looks more vivid and lifelike overall, and it can remove judder from 24p sources, while the X75K can't. There are a few issues with the X75K, including a pixel inversion issue with certain patterns, and it has high input lag in the only picture mode that can display chroma 4:4:4 signals properly, so it's unsuitable for use as a PC.”

This is in line with the general observation that X80 sets are a class up from X75 sets. In this case, reflected this year in the £749 and £699 prices respectively.

Me, I’d pony up the extra £50 for the X80; the specs are close, true, but then so are the prices.

Do you want to sit watching the X75, always wondering if the X80 wouldn’t have been that small but crucial bit better?

May I ask what is the difference between above models except the discount of £49.00 and the year of manufacture.

I am thinking of purchasing one of them and which one would be the best.

Let me instead teach you to fish; look at the structure of my posting above comparing the two TVs you started out mentioning, and make the same investigation, but with the two TVs that you now want to compare.

Or indeed, any other pair of TVs of your choice.
