My Sony KDL-55W805C TV Making Cracking Noises

for the last couple of days my TV keeps making cracking noises at the back of the TV its not coming out of the speakers. its every few seconds it makes the nosie any idea what it is

Heat, plastic parts and heatsinks.

If it stops after a while(one hour) don't worry. Mine is doing so for a whole year:smileysad: but then stops.

This was worse when first bought.

i brought this a few weeks back never done it before until a few days ago it is really annoying.

I can hear this when TV Volume is very low or silent.

If your issue started after a few days of purchase then watch temperature on LCD frame and smell.

If overheats or smells then call an authorized Sony Service Technician to check.

This is a serious issue

i brought it about 3 weeks ago only started doing it for the last 3 days or so

Hi there

You're welcome.  When you registered here, you used an email address (hopefully a genuine one), sometimes maybe even a phone number - so they will contact you via one of those.

As a general rule, Sony staff do not post to these forums.  However the forum moderators and Super Users (Experts, but not Sony employees) can flag issues to Sony.
