Home button no longer works on 55XD9305

In the last couple of weeks, the home button on the remote no longer brings up the apps. It dims the screen but nothing more happens.

I've tried on Sky and Digital TV, with HDMI control on and off, with Bravia Sync on and off and followed the instructions to clear the system update cache that are the subject of a Sony KB article. The shortcut buttons still load the app so it seems to be just the 'Home' app that's broken.

As the TV screen dims, I'm pretty sure the instruction is getting to the TV.

Any ideas?

I would simply telephone support for your Region. I had exactly the same problem with my XD93 and they solved it in minutes. Sorry I cannot remember the sequence of button presses but it involved using Help and didn’t take very long.

I did a factory reset in the end which solved it....just had the annoyance of then having to re-setup all my picture settings etc.
