Google Play/Sony Select 4K movie offer

Has anyone managed to redeem this offer? Shows up on the Sony Select app, which tells you to open up the Google Play TV & Movies app to redeem it, but the offer isn't there. Are we waiting for an update for the TV for this to work? I have a 49XE8004.

Ok, thanks. I use a Google Suite account (Google Apps legacy) so I think
this may be the reason why it's not working for me.

I've been in contact with Sony and found out that this offer is for two movies, however, if someone have redeemed a movie in the offer that was released before April 26, then he will be entitled for only one movie.

Almou_10 is correct, I contacted Sony on the number he quoted and it fixed it in a round about way. Sony were very helpful BTW but not totally right. They used a remote session on to my TV a KD55-XE9305 which was entitled to the free movies but I could not redeem them. The lady was on my TV for quite a while then she went to ask some advise, the advice was to choose any UHD movie through the TV via Google Play and it would deduct the value at the very end. I did this and Google charged me, I had to phone Sony back and tell them, they escalated the problem and I got an email last night with a redemption code. That was great but it didn't get my money back, so I had to request a refund from Google which looks like it has been done. as the film is no longer in my library. I used the code and bingo it works. So in short ask Sony to escalate the problem on the number Almou_10 provided and you should get a redemption code. I had also claimed a movie before April 26 so I am only entitled to one more.

When I click onto ‘Get your two 4K/UHD movies on us!’ I scroll across to the film I choose then it says I have to buy the film or rent it but there was an Google Play  Special Offer that says you can redeem ‘2 movies included in 4K UHD’. Does anybody know that if I click on rent, Rent  UHD for £6.99 will it charge me?

I have just bought my TV & it says the offer is still valid. Is this the case or didit end last year?

As far as I am aware the offer is running until December 2019. I had real
trouble trying to redeem the movies via the TV and Google Play store. In
the end Sony had to issue me with redemption codes. Push Sony customer care
for theses codes, it's the only way you will get the movies. When you get
your codes it will look like Google are going to charge you, but right at
the end the value should show as £0.00

Updated to v6.5629 on my KD-55XE8577 and the promotion tile finally showed up on the Home Screen. Clicking into it brings up a Sony page saying "You do not have permission to view this". Has anyone any ideas? Or should I just go into Google Play Movies & TV and try through there?

I never used google play but i just recently purchase a sony tv and on the google play app it advertised to free 4k movies, but it was a scam if it they were free why they ask for my credit card then they say i would be able to redeem at check out but instead the charged me 9 bucks for rental. you people are crooks
