I've recently purchased a ps4 pro and found out that the new controller dualshock 4 v2 does not work on the Android tv the old one I sold did 😑
It's getting hard to get the old dualshock I've also searched on eBay but not many, will the fake dualshock 4 controller work with the TV?, they are cheaper to get..
Hi there
Im unsure what model TV you have and what firmware you are on, but some are claiming that the DS4 V2 works on the Marshmallow (Android 6.0) firmware.
See these two threads:

Cheers
Hi sorry forgot to put that in I've got the KD-55XD8005 and I am on 6.0.1 that was the reason I asked as the new dualshock 4 wont work I have two of them I sold the old one with my old ps4 I've also tried connecting with USB but only charges the pad nothing more hopefully sony will patch this given the controller is a Sony product..
Hi there
Unfortunately I do not know how to help you on this, other than to advise you buying either a compatible v1 DS4 controller or another compatible controller in one of the thread links above.
When some forum members found out that their v2 DS4 controller worked with their TV under Marshmallow, I forwarded the replies in the thread to Sony for them to confirm.

Unfortunately Sony cannot confirm that the v2 controller (CUH-ZCT2Exx) will work - maybe it is a fluke that some managed to get it working - but they are sticking by their announcement - officially the v2 controller is not compatible.
Also, I have not seen or heard of anything from Sony in regards to making it compatible....at this stage.
Cheers
Wow sounds like a major blunder from Sony with that one lol..😰
How embarrassing 😂, I shouldn't laugh really as it's not helping my problem cheers anyway☺
