BT Sport App

I am trying to load the BT Sport App from Google Play store, but it does not seem to exist within the Store on the Sony TV

Hi Mark,

It appears that the BT Sport App is unavailable for download on Sony Bravia TV sets. If you follow the following link here you will see that BT does not mention its availability. Unfortunately until supported it will not show up for you in the Google Play store for your TV.  However, you can connect a Chromecast to the TV in order to stream BT Sports.

Apologies that I cannot offer you an easier solution.

I have been watching bt sports with by sports app on Bravia TVs bought 2 years ago. This has been fine for the last 3-4 months at least. Now suddenly the app has disappeared and what is worse is that casting doesn’t work either with error code nc_11. Anybody tell me how to restore normal service. I am guessing an auto update has done me in.

My App has also disappeared AndrewRiddell. I have tried to install again from the Sony Play Store but it still does not appear in the line of available Apps when searched for in the Home page. Any ideas welcome from the community.

Update! Now bizarrely it is working normally again. I don’t think I did anything to make it happen but as at right now 6 March 2021 at 12:00 I am watching BT Sport on a Bravia KD-55XF9005 using the on board app. Not casting. Which is what I had, then lost, now regained and all I wanted to restore.
I am now wondering will it stay out or disappear again like a Winterbourne?

Regarding HannahEd01's comment: Why is it "BT sport" would be responsible
for the disappearance of the app on the Sony TV?
I can see that it might not work if something changed at the BT Sport end
but the app disappeared from the available apps - and then reappeared!
Surely that is a property of the device not the remote provider.
