BBC iplayer 02050

I have a 43" bravia 2018/2019 model. BBC iPlayer will load but won't play anything at all.

Other apps work and can cast to it no issue, TV firmware is up to date. 

Not sure how to update BBC iPlayer as the app isn't in Google store
