Android TV - Side loaded apps

Hi guys

Long time lurker, first time poster...

Anyone know how to make side loaded apps show up on the homescreen?  Its probably been answered before, appologies if I have missed it.

No way with the stock launcher. You can try with a different launcher, but I would not advice to do so. An option is to use a different launcher like Sideloadlauncher that does show on the home screen and than from it you can access all your app (sideloaded or not); the specific app won't be shown on the home screen anyway.

Bummer, thanks though.

What's the best way to open the app up then would you think?  I've been navigating to it via ES file explorer, probably not the best way.

I thought I already gave my opinion

Install sideloadlauncher, it does not substitutes the stock default launcher and works very well. ES file explorer is useful for other purposes (ie accessing a large video collection on external HDD) but it's more difficult to navigate
