They did say it would be a phased update. So I guess, as with other updates, we have to be sceptical and accept it might need amendment before we can download 😀

Sony recently announced that they have no plans on updating BRAVIAs based on ATV2/ATV3 (MediaTek MT5891) to Android TV 9.0 Pie. This includes most models from 2017 and 2018 (like the famous X900E and X900F) and also some from 2019 (like the AG8 OLED).

But are you serious linking another time in this community a fake announcement from another forum?!? There is no official statement from sony anywhere

From this sony support page official:

• Sony’s 2018 Android TVs: AF9 and ZF9 Series 
• Sony’s 2019 Android TVs: AG9, ZG9, XG85/XG87 and XG95 Series

@Tektek12  that means only that that particular fw version can be installed on those tv models.

We are four friends (located in Greece) with the following Sony models:

KD-55XF8505 (FW: 6.5629)

KD-49XF9005 (FW: 6.6520)

KD-65XF9005 (FW: 6.5830)

KD-49XG9005 (FW: 6.6050)

All of us have "Automatic Update Checking" ON and have also checked for updates manually, and nobody has received any! 

What is going on?
