I'm traveling to the UK from Israel, can I get a VAT refund for buying an SLR camera?

If you're a non-EU resident you can claim your VAT back as you leave the UK, with certain conditions: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/sectors/consumers/overseas-visitors.htm
