We have set up the camera to record photos to Slot 1 and video to Slot 2; when you come to playback the photos and videos you can't view the content on Slot 2.
On my Nikon D500 I could view all the content on both cards. Does anyone know if Sony is planning a firmware upgrade to allow seamless playback between both slots?
I know you can allocate a function button to allow the viewing of content in Slot 2, but this is a step back from what I had on the Nikon. Plus, all the function buttons have been allocated.
Any comments would be much appreciated. Best, Simon

Actually I don’t remember if there is the ability to assign to a custom case, in case you can assign in only playback mode, so you doesn’t lost your preferred function in capture mode.

I agree that the sony’s management of flash cards is not easy (from the presence of a database, to the strange folder structure), but that it’s.
If I remember well on newer pro cameras there is a firmware update that enable an easier switch, so they know. 🤷♂️
Finally: no, it isn’t a downgrade from D500 (that I know), the A7iv (that I well know too) is absolutely a great upgrade. But for sure if you are looking for a nikon inside a sony you can’t find it
