HVL-F32M How do I get my A7rIVa to do High Speed Sync with this flash?

It just do not want to do it! Some restriction I do not know about?

Yes....I am using the mechanical shutter.

Actually, no particular setting should be needed. When you shoot at hi speed in manual mode.

I don’t have the F32M, but I think it works the same in all models

I just discovered one restriction : the flash can not be pointing upwards, it just resets the shutter to 1/250, no matter what the setting was before.

So it does not work if you want to bounce the flash on the ceiling. Right?

Maybe. Probably sony thinks that you are asking too much from a “35” to be able to work in hss and bouncing

Right! But you can always increase the ISO and you get a much better flash!

It works with HSS and bouncing with my canon gear....
