I have an A7ii which is working great - until I try using flash.
I bought a Neewer NW-625 flash - which according to the vendor is marketed as fully compatible with the A7ii "Mi Hot Shoe".
-
I have tried some indoor photgraphy in low lighting, with the camera set on Auto (keep it simple start!).
Without flash, the camera is fine, but long exposure times of 1/10s to 1/50s are being computed - so a fill-in flash would help.
-
But when I enable "fill flash" (auto flash can't be selected when camera is on Auto), every picture I take is a white-out.
-
So two questions:
1) Is the Neewer NW-625 flash really compatible with the Sony A7ii ?
2) If it is, then how do I use it ?
Is there a "how to" type user guide ? (I have looked, but cannot find one in the Sony site)
-
There is a brief one-page guide from Neewer, but that really does little more than identify controls and the screen content of the flash - and does not explain what terms/numbers mean or how to use the flash.
The Sony guide simply says to attach the flash and "press the shutter button fully down". Not exactly a guide.....
-
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
Hey Photo7iiFun, try removing the batteries for two minutes.
