DSLR A390

I am considering buying A390, but does it have landscape multi shot mode like the 550, I was told that it can be upgraded firmware downloaded from Sony to do it. Any advice please

Is it the 'Sweep Panorama' feature you are talking about?

Sadly this is not available on the A390 and there is no firmware upgrade available.

You can, of course, take a series of pictures and 'Photostitch' them into a Panorama using computer editing software like Photoshop Elements.  There is a tutorial here: -

The A390 is for still images only - it does not have a movie mode.
