A7iv won't take memory card

I have a Sony A7iv, less than a year old, that will not accept a memory card in slot 1. (It's fine in slot 2) The card goes almost to the bottom of the slot but at the point where it clicks in, it won't go further and I don't want to force it. I want to update the firmware but can only do this with a memory card in slot 1. The card itself is fine. 

Any thoughts please.

Probably there is a phisical obstacle.

I suggest to contact the local support and use the warranty

@JillyH3, it might be something broken inside did you use that lost before? did you check if the memory card itself locked or not?
