On my new A7iv I had a strange experience yesterday.
Around 3 times when I tried to check my shots, I noticed that the files were playing with peaking.
After it was ok but without changing any settings at all. I have the latest firmware. I had 1.01 after 1.05 and the last 1.1. My cam was connected(multi-sony gamble) with my gimbal. Is it something to worry about?

Hello, please try it for you too...and inform me here!
By focusing on Spot focus (finger) and having Peaking ON/High, press play and check your shot!
I think you will have peaking on your playback too. I am waiting for your test! Thanks.
Thanks to all of you for the help... I was in a worry because I thought it was happening only on my cam.
My conclusion is that on Spot Focus the playback will have Peaking... but we can live with it. Thanks again.
But actually the clips are ok? Or are them still affected by focus peaking?
Thankfully it was only on the playback... so I wish to was a one time bug. But it was strange...thats why I stop my work to film it! I don't know if someone else has the same experience;
I had peaking with red color... what do you mean by correct settings?
The peaking was visible in playback mode... I thought that it's not possible but like you can see in my pictures it happens (3 times in that shooting day).

This setting is for liveview.
There is no option for playback (or at least no official option)
Yes, I have it ON/hight/Red
and it's visible even on AFC (that was not possible on my A7iii) -there I had peaking only on MF.
Yes, the strange thing is that I had peaking on playback mode... but when I go to preview and press play
again to go to playback then the peaking was gone. But I had that peaking on playback around 3 times in that day.
So it looks like it wasn't a settings issue. I had my gimbal connect it with my A7iv via multi-c sony gamble. Also I was shooting in many formats like 4K50p-25p and HD100p-50p. Also I did the firmware upgrades like the manual orders...1.05 and after to 1.1
Then I'd say if it happened again record it, or take more pictures for it and send it to Sony, cause that's not normal yes.
Yes, that's what I am going to do!
It looks like a firmware update issue... my hope is to never face it again.
Wishing you all the best, and hope that it never happens again 🙏🏻.
