A7ii focus hunting problem

Hi all new to the forum I use a Sony A7ii I been having focus hunting issues when doing any kind of photography I use AF-C with a center focus and multi metering anyone got any advice on how to fix this problem or is it just user error ?

Can you describe the situation when the issue appear?

 - what are you focusing?

 - what are you pointing with the focus point?

 - which lens and diaphram?

 - which light condition?
