HDR-AS50 TImelapse problem

Hello

I am planning a long timelapse using a HDR-AS50 camera but have come across a problem during testing, it seems to be limited to 40,000 shots

i have used a 128GB memory card, and when i put the memory card in the camera it said 40,000 shots reamining, i left it running and it took exactly 40,000 shots, and wont allow any more to be taken, but there is 70GB free on the memory card, so i dont understand the 40,000 limit and is there anyway around this problem?

unfortunately the limit is there, since some SD-cards can't handle significantly more files than fourty thousand.
