On 21 February 2023, I installed the most recent system update (64.1.A.0.869). Later that day and since, Mobile Contactless doesn't work on my device. My banking app says 'I cannot make contactless parents with this device'. Contactless was working fine before the update. The bank says that there is nothing wrong at their end. I am also not able to get Google Pay to work as an alternative. I have posted this message to Sony Support and await their reply. Has anyone else experienced this issue please?

what does it say when you attempt to use the contactless payment?
can you check if the NFC is turned on in the settings?
Settings>device connection>connection preferences> NFC
Thanks Nolramlb. I have again been onto my bank. The issue has been escalated to their backend team and I have been given a 5 working-day timeline for resolution. An update said that contactless not working is a known issue. The issue materialises in the banking app, with a pop-up which says that I 'cannot make contactless payments with this device'. Interestingly, though, when I tried to use Wallet as an alternative, I couldn't select any card other than the default card. But all of my cards are with the same bank, so I think it is an issue about card information and communications the device makes with the bank. I will update again when there are developments.
Hopefully this can be resolved soon from the app developer side, but yea keep up updated.
