Please help me fix this issue.
Will be there a recall?!!!???
Is Sony doing nothing?
If not, I am going to avoid and recommend others to it só.
5mm of top screen just gave up. I use drop down menu a lot and I found a work around if I turn on "Auto-rotate screen" option.
I have the solution ! Just go to settings /display and enable Glove mode. This is my last Sony, I am so dissatisfied.
Hi Everyone, I am very sorry to hear about that.
If it persists even after a software repair using Xperia Companion and the previously suggested troubleshooting steps in this thread, then I am sorry to say that it would be best to have the device sent to an authorized service center so that a technician may examine it for you. The easiest way to have it sent in would be to get in touch with your Local support so that they may assist you, as service routines, warranty terms and consumer laws vary on a market to market basis.
This is not enough. Hundreds of customers affected by your live experimenting. Come foreward with authentic technical data, genuine screen-lifetime test reports and proper compensation proposals.
Hello. Since a few days big problem with the touch screen on my Sony Xperia Z3 compact. I tried all the troubleshooting solutions. In the screen test everything is OK, the pixels are good. I also saved everything and put the phone back in factory mode and I feel it's worse. The phone heats up (no more screen protection or phone protection I have deleted everything). The letters y h and b no longer work in normal mode I have to switch the phone into landscape. It is very slow and it writes anything I have to rectify my text without stop because the selected letters are always accompanied by other letters that I did not ask. What is going on? Phone under 3 years and under warranty. It has not fallen or anything else. Thank you for your help I love this phone but with these bugs this is no longer possible. Thank you
GT
Hello I tried this solution but unfortunately nothing to do. The touch screen does not respond in some places. Thanks anyway.

Hi @Melohane, I am sorry to hear about that.
I translated your question into English as this is an English only forum board, I hope that is ok.
Have you had the chance to read my previous replies for assistance in troubleshooting this? If that did not resolve it, then I'm afraid that I can only refer you to have your device sent to service.
In order to have your device sent to an authorized service center, I recommend that you get in touch with your Local support in order to be assisted. They are well informed regarding the service routines, warranty terms and consumer laws in your local market. I wish I could assist, but since I am based in the Nordics I am afraid that my market knowledge is limited to the one I'm situated in.
Hello all.
In my Z3C the problem started one month ago: at first it was only a bad responsiveness at the screen's top and bottom (cumbersome but passable). It got worse very gradually, but all of a sudden the bottom half started misbehaving badly and, only one hour later, the lower buttons fully stopped working.
I've reflashed a fresh system, but to no avail: it's not software related, it's faulty hardware.
THE PHONE GOES TO THE GARBAGE BIN.
Fortunately I had been doing frequent backups and saving them to my computer.
So, my piece of advice is (if you're still in time) to backup your precious data the very moment you feel the unresponsive symptoms. Otherwise the screen may die on you suddenly and then it may get a lot harder to do a recovery (via ADB and other emergency tools installed on your computer).
Good luck! (And goodbye to Sony.)

(NOTE to the community manager: you're doing a great job for Sony, Amir. You deserve a raise. Please keep telling us you're very sorry about this problem and advising us to send our devices to Sony repair service, so the company can take yet another hundred dollars away from each of us.)
Like many others on this thread, my Z3 Compact's touchscreen is failing.
It started a few months ago when the bottom navigation buttons becoming unresponsive. At first, I thought it was a software bug because I was able to hit other buttons that were near the edge (like on the lock screen). However, as time passed, the unresponsive section of the touchscreen grew, and I could not even hit those other buttons.
Then, about 3-4 weeks ago, the top of the screen (around the notification area) became unresponsive. I am unable to pull down the notifications anymore.
To deal with these, I used the "Simple Control" app to give me another set of buttons and shortcuts for interacting with the phone. Unfortunately, the unresponsive section is continuing to grow. As of today, I am no longer able to hit the spacebar on the on-screen keyboard, and I am having trouble hitting other things that are toward the bottom of the screen. I fear that the phone will become useless over the next few weeks.
I called up customer support a little while ago, and they told me that the phone model is no longer supported, and that my only option was to take it to a 3rd-party repair shop. I asked if there were any partnered or recommended shops that I should go to, and was told no. So I searched around my area, and found a couple of shops. In BOTH cases, I was told by the shop owners that they no longer service Xperia phones because the waterproof sealing makes the phone too hard to reassemble and makes it prone to fall apart again.
So what are my options here? I have an otherwise perfectly good phone. Sony won't help me. Local shops won't help me. I guess all I can do is throw the phone in the trash and be sure to not buy a Sony in the future? The worst part is that there are no competitors for the same form factor unless I go to Apple... Would really appreciate some advice.
Thanks,
Doug
