Sony z3 compact xperia back and home button not working

I am using z3 for almost a year and dint have any issues. Since last two updates i am facing two problems.

1. The drop down notification menu does not displays properly when slided over from top to bottom

2. Back and home button works once in a blue moon. Previously they were working great. Now i will have to try for more than 25 times to make that happen or restart the device.

Please let me know if this is a software issue caused by the latest software release or is there a way to bring back the old version of software. Eventually i need a working software and not this piece of ugly software quality.

This is so great! I used ADB without any knowledge about it, just using the instruktions and it worked right away.

I'm very upset with SONY. I'm using a Sony Z3 compact, and I've been having issues such as my headphone jack doesn't work, and now my bottom buttons do not work. 

I'm done with this product, I had high hopes. But, this is too much.

I have a Z3 Compact. I heard issues with Z5 as well about the headphone jack.

I have the same problem.

Some of you reference some "ADB Tool". I can not find this in the playstore.

I tried for a workaround the "soft-keys" app. It works fine, but gives me the 

"Display-Overlay detected" problem. Thus I can not configure any app

without disabling the soft keys. If I do so I can not use my phone.

Thus my phone has very limited features and is hardly useable.

Can someone summerize the solutions posted in this tread? Especially those that are currently working?

I tried all ideas from support such as restart, safe mode, software repair. None of it helps.
